Three apprentices acquitted

On Tuesday the 10th of April 2018 the acquittal ceremony of our former trainees took place. This year, two apprentices completed their IHK apprenticeship as cutting machine operators and one trainee completed their IHK apprenticeship as a mechatronics engineer.

These were: Max Streng (Heubach), Alexander Weinbeer (Hassfurt), and Saskia Schmitt (Ermershausen).

The new trainer Volker Sauerteig compared the training, in his greeting, with a house construction. He explained that the foundation was now laid, but now the walls and the roof had to be built in the profession. He thanked his predecessor Manfred Weingold, in whose "tenure" the three apprentices were hired and trained. Manfred Weingold looked back at the training in his speech. In September 2014, the training had started and after a training period of 42 months, it was successfully completed in February 2018. For the first time, the training as a mechatronics technician took place in cooperation with the training workshop of FTE (now Valeo) and she was also the first mechatronics technician to be trained at WEISS. The cutting machine operators were also trained in cooperation with FTE, initially in the training workshop Ebern.
As a practical part of the final exam, everyone had chosen the "company assignment".
The test result could be seen, according to Weingold, because all have concluded the operational contract with "very good" or "good". Also in the overall result the graduates had the grade "good" in the certificate stand.
Saskia Schmitt was also awarded a certificate by the government of Lower Franconia from the Jakob-Preh vocational school Bad Neustadt. Weingold cordially congratulated. In addition, the result also speaks for the quality of the training and the commitment of the trainers of WEISS GmbH, Jürgen Schneider, Volker Sauerteig and Michael Reif. He also addressed his thanks to the apprenticeship workshop in Ebern, because here the foundation for a successful education was laid.

Technical Managing Director and Speaker of the Management Claus-Peter Lehnert, looked more in his speech on the future and the future requirements in the professional life. He was pleased about the successfully completed training and pointed out that all have received a temporary contract. He then handed over the IHK training certificates and a book gift.

Works Council Chairman Wolfgang Brasch also congratulated on the successful completion of the training. He works for the employees, even if training measures are sought.

In his closing remarks Plant Manager Jürgen Schneyer once again thanked trainers and training management and emphasized that he would continue to work for sound training in the future.
